Drupal is kind of a Swiss Army knife for online tools — something between a CMS and a Framework, which makes it very versatile. The views module allows administrators to easily query the content of the Drupal database.

Description

The Timeline module is a JavaScript-based widget for visualizing temporal information in Drupal. It integrates the SIMILE widgets JavaScript timeline library developed by MIT. Individual views queries can be used to show any content from the database on an interactive timeline.

The timeline module was downloaded over 20,000 times and statistics reported up to 3145 parallel installations (in october 2013).
